Here are some examples of appropriate TRI Day activities (remember these are activities done outside of the regular workday):

1st week activities, computer lab prep, evening conferences, creating an exam and essay questions, curriculum planning, curriculum review, grading, instructional planning, lesson plans, Math Night, Open House, planning, preparing report cards, room prep, self study retreat, set up rubrics or investigations, team meeting, syllabus work, text preparation, and IEPs.

There are MANY more that would also work. Remember to ask yourself if what you are doing is directly related to your teaching and your class.

You have 6 days for 2009-2010. Each day is 7 hours and 40 minutes in length. Use a timesheet to keep track of them and turn them into your administrator.
